Renée Lenore
I bring informed leadership in Sustainability to the organization with the greatest impact on people and the planet — so that I can mitigate, to the greatest extent, the negative impacts often borne by those with the least, and create a legacy of positive change for those who come after.
About Renée
Expert.
Strategist.
Leader.
"My unique ability is solving complex, multidisciplinary problems in Sustainability through deep understanding, strong teamwork, and a humility to be wrong and adapt to better ideas."
Renée Lenore brings 20+ years of cross-industry expertise in Sustainability, ESG, Carbon Management, and Environmental Compliance to the organizations she serves. From the production floor to the C-Suite, she has helped companies across a wide variety of industries and countries meet their compliance obligations and evolve toward genuinely sustainable operations.
Her career trajectory is rare: a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Georgia Tech, years of site-level environmental consulting, deep product and technology expertise inside the sustainability software space, and now an Executive MBA from INSEAD — she is uniquely equipped to lead at the intersection of science, strategy, and business transformation.
As Associate Director of Product Management at Enablon (Wolters Kluwer), she served as the company's external subject matter expert, representing the organization at conferences and speaking engagements worldwide. Her broad experience across the ESG and Sustainability space has given her the ability to "speak the language" of different stakeholders — from regulators to boards — and help create a common understanding of problems so they can be solved collectively.
Away from the boardroom, training for her black belt in her 40s deepened her conviction that the most daunting challenges are not obstacles to leadership — they are invitations to it. A self-described "neutral good" and realistic optimist, she leads with curiosity, courage, and a belief that the best ideas should rise to the top, regardless of their source.
My Why
Leading With
Purpose
I want to bring informed leadership in Sustainability to the organization(s) with the greatest impact on people and the planet so that I can mitigate, to the greatest extent, the negative impacts which are often borne by those with the least, and create a legacy of positive change for those who come after.
Definition of Work
Work as
Transformation
For me, work is guiding the transformation of organizations for long-term success and profitability through a transition to more sustainable and responsible operations and processes, driving the push to Net-Zero, and developing a collaborative team of experts to meet the varied needs of the organization — and to serve as an example for others on this path.
Being based in Paris, where much of this work is focused, provides the opportunity to have the extensive positive impact — particularly in the area of climate change — that will serve as my legacy and what I hope to be remembered for.
Core Values
What I Stand For
If people can't believe what you tell them, they'll never want to work with you or support you. Honesty is the foundation of every healthy relationship — professional and personal. Share the hard truths, share failures, but also know when discretion is required.
No one got to where they are by themselves. We work best when we work together, ensuring that group discussions involve everyone, that all voices can be heard, and that team members are supported — especially those who may be silenced or excluded.
Professionally, I want to be sure I'm having a positive impact on the world, and I want this to be a goal of the people and organizations I work with. Chasing money offers no long-term satisfaction; that comes from serving something bigger than yourself.
Teams are closer and work better together when people can be themselves. No one should have to hide who they are just to keep coming to work. Authenticity and psychological safety aren't soft values — they are competitive advantages.
Show your mind has changed. Champion the ideas of others. Adapt in discussions — don't try to force your own ideas. Leave ego out of the equation and let the best ideas rise to the top, regardless of the source.
Be loyal to your team. Defend them in the rooms where they aren't. Loyalty extends to leaders — until that loyalty is used against you. Compassion means working with people on issues and finding ways around policies that exclude rather than include.

"The most daunting challenges are not obstacles to leadership — they are invitations to it. I will not be intimidated into silence. I represent an important perspective, and I'm not doing anyone a favor by being quiet."— Renée Lenore
My Commitments
Ethics-Driven
Action
The principles that guide how I show up — as a leader, a colleague, and a voice in the sustainability space.
"I will not be intimidated into silence. I represent an important voice in a corporation, and I'm not doing anyone a favor by being silent."
"Steel sharpens steel. Leave ego out of the equation and let the best ideas rise to the top, regardless of the source."
"I will ensure that others are heard, and that diverse voices are given a seat at the table."
"I will drive for actual solutions, not just ones that look good on paper. The climate can tell the difference."
"I want to lead a team in the operational transformation of a large European corporation toward more sustainable operations — minimizing negative impacts on people and the planet while making the company more resilient and more profitable."
"By cultivating an environment where people feel free to be their authentic selves and experiment, I spark the kind of inspired engagement that leads to excellent outcomes — even in divided environments where leadership is especially challenging."
